Jesse M. Swearingen, III, CPA

Jay joined BPS in 1994 and became a shareholder in 2001. As a member of the tax services practice, Jay works primarily with closely-held businesses and their owners in a variety of industries, including real estate, technology, retail, manufacturing, franchise restaurants, construction, captive insurance, and professional service firms. He regularly consults with clients on issues relating to entity selection, sales and acquisitions of businesses, business forecasting, modeling, and debt management.

Being a part of BPS’ growth over the years has been a great experience. Helping to grow our team while staying true to our culture is something that I am extremely proud of. I still look forward to helping current and future clients with their needs every day.

Jay also works closely with the firm's small business department, which provides outsourced accounting solutions. He also serves as conservator for incapacitated persons and minors in Richland County, South Carolina.
