IT Conference And Leadership
Each year, Comexposium facilitates collaboration and learning for IT professionals across South Carolina through its Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference. In 2022, the conference will be held May 9-12 at the Marriott Resort at Grand Dunes. If you work in IT Security or Forensics, this is a must-attend event each year, as they bring in some of the best speakers on the east coast.
There will be two keynote speakers this year. Brett Shavers is an author, teacher and consultant with over 20 years of experience in the business. He will be speaking on the importance of not over-relying on technology. Harvey Perriott is the Acting Regional Director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity division, and he will be speaking on the evolving threat landscape of 2022.
The conference has four different seminar tracks (Audit, Forensics, Security, Investigation) with multiple lectures taking place at any given time, including demonstrations and labs in case you want to drill down on any particular software or procedure. There are also usually about 100 sponsors with booths set up for networking and peer collaboration.
Eddie Zimmer from our firm will be manning a booth with other Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) team members, so stop by and say hello if you attend.
Earlier this year, Eddie assumed the role of treasurer for ISACA’s South Carolina Midlands Chapter, an organization he has been a part of for the last five years. He is our firm’s manager of IT assurance services, and he has spoken at several events including last year’s Techno Security conference in Myrtle Beach. If you are interested in getting more information about ISACA or this upcoming conference, please reach out to Chris Stormer or Eddie Zimmer at 803-771-8943.
