BPS Supports SCACPA

The South Carolina Association of CPAs (“SCACPA”) hosted its annual Spring Splash continuing professional education conference on May 12-13 this year. There was a wide variety of topics and speakers, two of which were from BPS!

Jessica Yohe presented on the ever-so-fun “Accounting and Auditing Standards Update,” in which she discussed the general changes that the new accounting and auditing standards will bring (some of which are already effective) and the impact to financial statements or auditing procedures. While being informative on such an important topic, she kept it light while trying to bring in examples from real life experiences while implementing these new standards.

Tom Pietras also spoke at the SCACPA Spring Splash discussing another important topic, “Building Your Legacy—Succession Planning.” Tom co-led this discussion with Lynn Nichols.
