BPS Ranks No. 4 Nationally in Audits of RRGs

The Risk Retention Reporter (the authoritative journal for the risk retention marketplace) has compiled its risk retention group actuary and auditor rankings for 2022. Risk retention groups (“RRGs”) are liability insurance companies owned by their members. RRGs allow entities with similar insurance needs to pool their risks and form insurance companies that they operate under state regulated guidelines.

According to the journal, BPS ranked fourth in the United States by number of RRGs served. BPS serves 15 risk retention groups, with 13 of its contracted RRGs domiciled in South Carolina. BPS also provides auditing services to one RRG in each of both Alabama and Tennessee.
